        I think human species are just curious. Also if we find others life or proof of life, we kind of find a second planet to live if something happen to earth.

        I think people find it interesting as it would help to answer questions as to how life formed and evolved. If there was the same mix of atoms and conditions on many planets, would you get similar chemistry of life occurring?
