      Not sure
Gold is an incredibly expensive substance ~39 dollar per gram. But many things are worth more than their weight in gold, like diamond 65000 dollars/gram, Rhodium 45 dollars per gram.

a substance not found on earth. the price would be as much as it would cost to go and get and bring back to earth. for example it is estimated mars rock would cost at least 6 billion dollars to get.

Substances that are rare tend to be £££. When they first learnt how to purify aluminium they gave it to Queen Victoria in the form of a cutlery set. Given that was the only pure form of aluminium on the planet at the time, I could imagine its value as being fairly high!

Well, if you discover a new element or a substance which has excellent properties, and only you know how to make it, you are a rich person (but sharing the knowledge wouldnot harm)
