        There is talk of a manned mission to Mars within our lifetimes. Whether the planet can be colonised is another story but from the sounds of things people want to give it a go. http://www.mars-one.com/

        mars…possibly. other planets we would have to make a massive leap forward in science as with current theories it would take at 165,000 years to get to the closest planet to our galaxy (around alpha century)

        It has taken NASA a whole lot of years to send a Mars rover, so talking about other planets will be a bit far-fetched. NASA and SpaceX have developed the spacecrafts for the Mars mission, and their target is to send man by 2030. If they are successul there, probably they can focus on other planets!
