Favourite thing to do in my job: Discovering new things; it could be a small or large finding but the feeling and thrill is great!
My Work: I stick sugars to metals and try to do new types of chemistry.
My Typical Day: Coffee, purify reactions, coffee and read about chemistry, set up new reactions, coffee and have delusions of grandeur.
What I'd do with the prize money: Give it to our OutReach Programme and help school kids get into science
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Curious, determined, and independent
What or who inspired you to follow your career?
I had a very inspiring chemistry teacher at school; from that my sheer enjoyment of the subject has been enough to drive and lead me to where I am.
Were you ever in trouble at school?
I got caught occasionally

Um… hard to say; something in an office?

BBQ; preferably Texan
What is the most fun thing you've done?
I once went sky diving :D
