Me and my work

attaching a drug on a protein and characterise it.

I work in a little company where everything is timing by deadline. So medical results are important. I am the scientist between the chemists and the biologists. The chemists give me a compound, I attach it to a proteins characterise it and give it to be tested to biologists.

My Typical Day

I start reaction, I collect data, I analyse those data. I write a report and plan new experiments to get further.

What I'd do with the money

Science fair in biocatalyst site in GSK, stevenage

The Biocatalyst site located in Stevenage (North London) is made of several biotechnology companies (start-ups). It will be great for students to meet those scientists where some of them have developed their own company to make an advancement in science. They could have a chat and see another part of science.

Then an exhibition with a science fun fair could be set up based around mainly biology and chemistry to help them to understand that what they study at school and how research scientists are still using it everyday.
